One of our top relievers who didn't pitch any since the first night of the tournament didn't come in today, and neither did one of our other top relievers who didn't play the tournament. Maybe they were just both hurt, but if not it's a continuation of our baffling management of pitching changes.

Combine that with the two solo home runs from leaving pitchers in too long, you have a winnable game blown.

I’m not big on singling out players for losses, but Harris killed us. Three walks and two hit batters and I think all of them scored.

All the headlines are about Coastal’s power and hitting, but they didn’t hit enough to win today if we don’t put half the runs on base for them.

Congrats Coastal. Once again we come up short. Texas St may very well get in this year so good luck in the regionals to Coastal and hopefully Texas St

Back from the game and trophy presentation for a crazy tournament which featured gutsy performances by players on all teams involved! Regional hosts revealed tonight with complete field announced at 12p EST tomorrow on ESPNU. Fitting end to Coastal's insane run this week: Our winning pitcher, Scott Kobos, passed out during the celebration in 100 degree heat and had to be escorted off the field in a golf cart...

He actually didn't pass out from the heat. He was hit in the head by one of the large Sun Belt cutouts that was thrown into the air by an unknown Coastal player. I'm seriously not making it up.

It was a tremendous run for Coastal coming out of the loser's bracket to win 5 in a row. The one aspect of today's game that I really hate was seeing Mason McWhorter get hit and taken out of the game. He has been outrageous against us for the last 3 years, and I'm a guy that likes to see my team win against the best with their best on the field. Do any Georgia Southern fans have an update on him? Looked like it hit him on the hand, and I hope it isn't broken.

Wow, I heard a fan say Kobos was hit by a sign but when I looked at the Sun Belt logos the players posed with in pictures on the field I thought there's no way one of those could knock somebody out! I want to give a shoutout to Louisiana-Monroe's fantastic run in this tournament, too. I noticed two Warhawks' players made the all-tournament team, the pitcher Trey Jeans being one of them...

Regional hosts announced tonight. Coastal and TXST won't know anything till tomorrow morning though about if/where they'll be playing, other than the 16 possible destinations.

So wait, did the Chants Up hand signal always have the SC state outline in the ring and thumb fingers?

I've talked to many former App players and all who played Coastal said the Chants were the best-coached team they played.

I think that design came out around the same time we made it to Omaha in 2016.

McWhorter broke a finger thanks to the wild pitch by Coastal. No doubt taking him out of our lineup hurt.

Hennon was abused today in the coaching department. Brings in Collins, who has been awful since March, ahead of Whitney.
