ADs are trained to manage finances. Almost any half trained AD reject could have done the job Bowen did.
Yet we didn't find one for 30 something years

Yep. Football wasn’t bad for 30 years because it had to be, we just didn’t have good leadership or good coaches throughout that period. A great coach will succeed despite his AD
