RE: Interesting ported from the ACC board: How Many Living Alumni Does Your School Have,
Not sure on the donations (it’s a lot though)

But A&M just passed 500K living Alumni

Pretty impressive given that just 50 years ago the school was Texas’ equivalent of The Citadel (small, all male military school)

And the kids from the first really large coed classes are only in their 40s now so that 500k is going to get even bigger over the next 30 years

Wait, in their 40s? That would mean TAMU has only been a large coed school for 25 years?

No it’s been coed since the mid 60s. I’m talking about first huge classes (that were also coed). Because it went from a school of about 8k to a school of almost 40k in just 25 years
