Honestly, I think this is a little strong. He was legitimately popular for a long time, then the world sort of forgot about him. Now he’s found something that pays the bills while also feeding that craving for attention again. He was playing a character as a kids tv show host, and he’s merely playing a different character now.

The character is certainly a douchebag, but I’m not as certain about the real guy.

Honestly, I think this is a little strong. He was legitimately popular for a long time, then the world sort of forgot about him. Now he’s found something that pays the bills while also feeding that craving for attention again. He was playing a character as a kids tv show host, and he’s merely playing a different character now.

The character is certainly a douchebag, but I’m not as certain about the real guy.

Anyone willing to to oversell a fear held by many people just to make some cash is a D-bag.

And he didn’t oversell things as a kids tv show host? Other tv hosts don’t oversell anything? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but this is a weak argument.

Bill Nye is the surface pustule sitting atop of the festering infection that is today's agenda-driven media.

It is easy enough to ignore his disgusting presence. But in doing so we risk overlooking the much more malignant socialist message that hides underneath his opportunistic lies.

A BS in ME from Cornell is a higher credential than 90% of this board. If you want to pillory Bill Nye ... choose something with more merit. Like his flawed positions.

Bill Nye is irrelevant because he is irrelevant. He like many washed up HACKS try to gain media favor by adopting the required position needed to move the US to full on socialism.

Yeah, I'll second that.

I have a BS in Mech E from a similar level school as Cornell. You can't graduate with that degree unless you learned a lot about the scientific method, chemistry, physics, and math.

More to the point: if you don't agree with the global warming religion, "who has more credentials" is not a winning argument. A large majority of people who are the most "qualified" to evaluate climate science (i.e. researchers with climate science PhDs) think that people are causing global warming.
