Ask your dude on Lamar if he has any space that's available for cheap.

Last 2 home games have seen announced crowds of around 4,000-4,500. If they do not break 6,000-7,000 this Saturday, then it could be a sign that the edge may have fallen off already.

No, we need that quarter to half a billion dollars to spend on other facilities that are actually needed. An OCS is not needed or fiscally feasible.

Football revenues will remain minimal as long as we're playing in an oversized, off-campus facility.

What

It's a long season. Last two games were also affected by weather. Last night had an hour-long weather delay.

The Dude on Lamar does odd jobs for Freddy
Snowtiger, if I can get the conference call together will u join us, remember we all must be sober
I disagree with the Dude who said money could be spent better elsewhere, a good OCS could draw in
Major revenue

I have nothing against an OCS at South campus.

It just ain't gonna be on the main campus ever.

The main campus has been moving slowly south (& north) for some time, maybe OCS could bridge the main & south........

The city of Memphis has an operating LOSS every year on the LBS. That with three paying tenants. But city profits from it by the taxes collected due to the economic impact of events.

OCS would not have any paying customer to offset the operating cost. School gets no financial gain through taxes revenues created by visitors spending money around the city after attending the games.

OCS would mean the school would have to spend anywhere between a quarter to half billion dollars to build the OCS upfront and then have to generate enough funds to offset the operating cost.

LOL you think these are in the same league as LBS?

First they have no choice since they do not have a metropolitan area willing to build a city-owned facility.

The South Alabama arena will be so small that our poor crowds will overflow the stadium.

The App St deal is just adding a building and suites to an old stadium already in place.

If you want to see a program stagnate then build a subpar facility which will not allow the fans access when things are going well.

That report was so unprofessional and bias it was a joke.

Case in point they tried to make the claim that the U of Louisville saw major increases in attendance because of the new arena. When in fact that was not the case. Louisville had a losing season the last year in the old stadium. Saw good attendance early in the season and then attendance dropped off after the losses piled up later in the season.

The next year in the new stadium they had brought in a new coach, the annual game with UK was played in Louisville that year and the team went to a bowl game. Attendance did not drop off later in the season because the team was winning.

Then it would be worthless. The whole point is to get you and me back on campus. South campus is not "campus".

Looking at every single final four of recent memory, none of them were held in any domed stadium of less than 50k (I think that is the Alamodome). Most are 60+, and downtown.

Also, the Redbirds owners own 901FC. How do you convince them to leave the building when they pursued the USL specifically to fill vacant dates on the venue's calendar.
