There are hundreds of other options, you don't have to watch. Some of us enjoy it, I've seen all but about 2 seasons and still find it entertaining. For a show that cast basically all new people every season the format is obviously good to have the staying power it does.

To put it in perspective the other somewhat similar long running reality game show I watch is the Challenge and the thing they have going for it that survivor really doesn't take advantage of nearly as much is the built in fanbases for the main players many of which are returning year after year almost in a way athletes would for the next season. That and alcohol fueled hookup's / drama. I get why they are in season 35. Ban

Basically I want to see how the old guys like CT, Bannas, Wes etc I've been watching since 2005 are still competing, and just how they've grown over 15+ years, where as survivor basically survives on the format or game alone and maybe you get an all star season once ever 8 years or a couple returners. You have to give Survivor credit for that making it to season 40 simply on the merits of the game, it's not carried over personalities or crazy drunk drama like most of the rest of reality TV.
