So, Joe Lunardi has us slated as a 4th seed right now. There are 3 total American teams with Cincy as a 10th seed and Houston as 5th seed.

Fourth seed is a protected seed and you get a close Pod location...

That would be a good scenario for travel and making the second weekend. Granted it likely sets up a game against the one seed in the sweet 16.

It is pretty much impossible to even get close to where our seed will be if the schedule is not totally known. With some good OOC wins we can move up quite a bit.

Well the top 25 and 1 has slightly more validity since he is basing it not on who we play or what our Kenpom/BPI/NET rankings are but who is expected to be on the team...still click bait but nice to see us listed.

4th seed sounds pretty fair.

St. Louis is one of the 1st weekend sites.

A 3 seed or better likely gets Memphis there.

The first half was the most dominating performance against a very good team in the NCAA Tourney I can recall. The game shut most of the idiot pundits up about how C-USA membership would limit advancement.

About 10 million things re college basketball will happen between now and tournament seeding time, so it seems a bit premature to speculate whether No. 4 seed Memphis will beat No 1 seeded Michigan State. Given the recruiting class Memphis has accumulated, I suspect Memphis might be a bit better, maybe a lot better, than the lowest No. 4 seed in the tournament. That’d equate to a rankining of between 14 and 20. I think the Tigers will do better than that this year. If Ky, Duke and other schools can be ranked No.1 with the best incoming class, I think the Tigers can come close to that this coming season, and with that will come a seeding among the top 8 (a No.1 or a No. 2).
