Dominating win
Against an academy team which they should dominate. But still some good play.
Will wager in years to come that the 4,000 that showed up will balloon to over 15,000 by all those who will claim that they were there.
Hope the momentum will carry over to points paying game this weekend.

RE: Dominating win
Good to see us beat a team comfortably that we are supposed to beat. I'm a little worried Cam Lindsey is gonna get called back from his loan the we way he is playing right now.

With the condensed schedule in the MLS right now, Yeah I could see it happening if Orlando needs depth. Would suck for us, and probably him.
He's been really good for us.

Luckily, not a lot of Orlando City players are in line for callups for the Gold Cup. WIll Johnson will probably go for Canada...maybe Tesho Akindele too.

you seem to be fixated on the attendance for 901FC, I was there and it was a great crowd considering:
1- it was announced a week ago.
2- the game was delayed due to a storm(did not turn out to be too bad but was predicted to be bad)
3- they were playing a lower division team in a non league game.
4- the game was a mid week game during exams for many schools

Even MLS teams have a hard time drawing for Open Cup games.

RE: Dominating win
So the wife and I actually went to the 901 game last Saturday night, or at least the first half before the monsoon that wasn't supposed to show up until 11 pm showed up at halfime (about 815). Reminded me of the UCF-Tigers game last Fall.
Anyhow, I'll admit, I'm not a huge soccer fan but this was very impressive. The entire game presentation was big league. Everything from how AutoZone Park looked, the way they use the scoreboards, the colorful flags everywhere, it was very big league. The place was packed, families with kids everywhere. It's great that AZP is in use on weekends since the Redbirds were in San Antonio. AZP will bring people downtown now every Saturday all Spring and Summer. That's a great thing. As for the half I saw, 901 dominated and had several chances they missed on but in typical soccer fashion made one defensive mistake that Pittsburgh capitalized on. But I guess the half didn't qualify as a official game as it was cancelled (the lightning was incredible). Our ticket stubs are good for any future game. I'm looking forward to it.

All I was saying that the game was similar to the Rogues Cosmos game. If everyone who has claimed to be at that game today actually showed up it would have been the biggest crowd in the NASL that year.
