Big East forced to add football
Just saw from facebook that the Big East is going to be forced to join FBS football no later than the 2022 FBS season.... Rumor has it that they're going to add UConn, Cincy, Memphis, along with Navy football only. Villanova, Butler, Georgetown will be forced to move up from FCS to FBS(and will do so for the 2020 season), and further rumor has it that St John's, Marquette, and DePaul are going to make the jump(starting in 2020 as FCS and making the jump to FBS for 2022).... They also will be adding VCU as a bball only making 14 for basketball and then 10 for football.

Needless to say this devastates the AAC. Left with 9 basketball and 8 football programs. They will be adding according to rumors North Texas, Old Dominion to get to 10 for football, and then adding an unknown school as #12 for basketball.

And the only reason to do this is that the P5 are leaving the NCAA and want the BE to come with. So where does that leave Gonzaga? MWC? AAC? kings of the new fcs? And Gonzaga will win the bball title every year?

This sounds kinda crazy but I checked with my sources inside ODU's athletic department and we HAVE in fact been approached by the AAC. Of course our reply was

I also wonder if the B12 would snag Cincy and UCF before the BE gets Cincy.

RE: Big East forced to add football
Cincinnati's entry into Big East football wouldn't be the Bearcats, but instead the Bengals, which in a good year might be competitive with Georgetown, Butler, and Villanova.

BE would be better off adding UConn, UMass, Richmond, Dayton and Buffalo to join Butler, Nova and Gtown in FB. Then add St Louis to the remaining 7 non FB schools to get to 16. EASY PEASY. or get Wichita to add FB and they can replace Richmond or Dayton 03-lmfao

JR REC stated the thread must be believable to get the points, this falls well short of the mark.
