It's also a tad ironic that the deal was ironed out at the very same place the MWC talks occurred (if this is legit that airport needs a sign that reads birthplace of NCAA conferences). I know Larry Scott is an utter joke and terribly mismanaging the PAC 12--they can't seriously want him.

If this is true I'd like some clarity as to if this is a brand new conference or are they planning to use the WAC umbrella. If they are indeed going to be the WAC then they don't need to worry about mbb tournament access.

Where I see the fall out going:

Summit--loses 4, adds UMKC, Chi St, Augustana, and Bellarmine in the rebuild
MVFC--can still operate with 7 schools
Big Sky--reduced to 8 full plus 2 fb affiliates. Stable but could consider adding UVU and Dixie St and solidifying Utah as its footprint core (4 Utah schools + 3 in neighboring states)
New WAC--they have their 8 fb schools but for Olympic sports they could be as big as 14 which is less than ideal. GCU and Seattle might not be bad to keep around but I don't know that there's long term value in Cal Bapt and UTRGV
This is no joke! McMurphy has since deleted this from his facebook account. He has also been suspended from any and all duties with Stadium for leaking such valuable information.

Per my sources, they have no new information at this time. Though I have no sources so that may be why.

Again, it is all 100% true. Most things here are so stay tuned as more info is leaked.

Pretty sure someone made a thread challenging people to come up with the most plausible realignment scenario that people would take seriously and this is one of those.

As much as I wish the gate was shut for FCS move ups, this idea got me excited until I remembered that other thread.

Hey, Chuck Staben's contract at Idaho is officially terminated in 32 days. I can happily fantasize about a competent athletic department and marketing arm for the school again. Somebody get these other schools on board.
