Actually, given all I know about both, I would prefer Alfred E. Neuman over Pete Buttigieg.

Mayor Pete might be — repeat, *Might Be* — an exception to that rule. I think I’ve seen some subtle hints of that. Hard to be certain. But we’ll see.

So he took it in stride while pointing out how old and out of touch with America Trump is. Just because some old farts here think it's funny doesn't mean it will resonate with anyone under 25. Or even under 35. When was the last time Mad Magazine was relevant? In the 1970's maybe?

Oh I know what it is intellectually. I'm also familiar with vaudeville, Birth of a Nation, Ragtime, Poor Richard's Almanac, and Thomas Paine's Common Sense. But none of those things stir any emotions in me because I was born after the invention of cable TV.
