We should be so lucky to have this fine young man representing our University his entire basketball and post basketball career. He will be a success on and off the court!
If I were Penny (and, unfortunately for me, there are several reasons I am not, lol), I would take Wiseman and the team to China for some exhibitions. It is a unique confluence of opportunity and circumstance that may not happen often with future marketable recruits. With his knowledge of the language (not sure if he is fluent), that can seed both his and the U of M's reputation and popularity over there. International communities, even in more common European destinations, are frequently impressed by American's knowledge of their language (it helps dispel the ugly American impressions made by other visitors). Spread the positive Memphis image!

I like the thought. But there are financial considerations. You get one of these trips every 4 years, and we will use ours this year for the Bahamas. I like the thoughts of growing fans in some new, faraway cultures. But the practice and team-building for the Bahamas will be valuable.
