Rice & MT Football Continue to Have Top APR Rates
First time, Middle Tennessee (#22) has been outside the top 20 in some time, but Rice (#12) and MT have been the top two every year over the past five years IIRC. Everyone continues to do a good job staying above the cut line. In case anyone still cares about this...

1 Rice 987
2 Middle Tennessee 982
3 Florida Atlantic 971
4 North Texas 969
5 WKU 965
6 Old Dominion 961
7 FIU 959
T8 UTSA 957
T8 UTEP 957
T10 Marshall 954
T10 Louisiana Tech 954

Our score is never going to be particularly great but 941 is pathetic.

DMB says having some breathing room above that cut line is pretty important.

With the addition of 3 more bowls, APR is absolutely going to be relevant. There is no way that there wont be some 5-7 teams bowling.

Unfortunately, there will probably be years with 6 to 7, 5-7 teams bowling. The teams don't deserve it, but CUSA sure could use the cash from a bowl or 2 extra.

We aren't really making much money via bowls anyway. Any money comes from the playoff for which we will never be a part of.

We are hosting Texas at NRG Stadium this year in September. That is probably going to just have to be our “bowl game” this year.

On the other hand if we somehow get to five wins with our tough schedule... we will be deserving of that bid and will gratefully accept.

I saw an article that said North Texas was paying coaches an the AD bonuses for doing so well with the APR. Are APR bonuses common at C-USA programs?
