They're trying to start the game now at 6:30 but I don't know. It's one of those evenings where storms aren't moving, and there is a ton of lightning around. The weather in Beaumont isn't as bad as it is in Kingwood or Sugar Land at least.

Stay tuned.....

RE: Baseball at Lamar
FBO got in first, so I'll delete my thread.

Scheduled 6 p.m. (Central time) start was delayed by rain ... and now (6:30 p.m.) a lightning is delaying it further.

JP says pre-game activities were beginning ... but the National Anthem had not yet been performed. Fans are now being cleared from the stands.

JP says 7 p.m. is the earliest the game could start and signs off. "We'll be back when we know more."

And now they have to drive 90 minutes back to town along a flooded highway. Wonderful. They may as well stop and have dinner and wait for the roads to recede a bit. Supposedly, the rain is supposed to let up finally by 9 or so. Parts of Houston have already received 10+ inches of rain today (and this is just day 1 of 5 in our rain event this week).
