What has killed the MAC is that they've tried to chase the FB money instead of keeping it next free.

30 years ago MAC game tickets could be found in your local coupons. You could sit where you wanted which was exciting when a big game was on the line.

That is how Bowling Green or Miami O. could put 25,000 in the house under free and fluid conditions. Going to a game was easy.

MAC moved to reserved seating, then premium seating to try to be like the big boys and in the process priced out the locals. Big opponents are now 45-65 dollars per walk up ticket. Its like the pro price. You can go to a mid week game and freeze for 20 dollars but nobody wants to do that.

So I think the mid week games are a factor but also cost has alienated fans.

Its like going from 20,000 fans a game at 1 dollar per ticket to 5,000 fans a game at 30 dollars per ticket.

You're still coming out ahead.
