The team is enjoying a record 6000 NEW season ticket holders in the spring. They expect several thousand more by the time the season starts. Dino Babers has instilled a new fan ferver in this program that hasnt been seen since the 90's. I had my doubts about him. But they are all gone now. He is exactly what SU needed. Lots of folks think the team has a good chance of beating Clemson in the Dome again and want to be there to witness it. It will be a good game.

This underscores the fact that WINNING trumps everything else. There were many years when Syracuse had a very attractive home schedule - but struggled to be bowl-eligible and couldn't come close to selling out. Now that they've won 10 games in a season... boom!

Many folks outside the program felt that the program would never be relevent again.
I always said it always boils down to coaching. Any program can come alive with the right coach. Babers is the right coach for Syracuse. SU is very fortunate to have him. It seems like he really wants to be there. He seems to be the type of guy where a mans word means something and he likes that SU has kept their promise in doing everything they said they would do. Hope he stays for the long haul. I hope UCLA or USC and Stanford stay good for a while. Dino's from San Diego.

Reporter saying Iowa/Iowa St picked up by FOX. As long as Stanford doesn’t beat Northwestern & USC to start the season, Gameday should be at the Carrier Dome for this one as Cy-Hawk and Stanford/UCF are the only other Top-25 matchups that week.

Half the people working at ESPN are Syracuse alums, right? 03-lmfao

So it wouldn't be a surprise if they sent Gameday there. It's more of a surprise that Gameday has never been there.

We have sucked pretty consistently since 2002. Our few decent seasons were only 7 or 8 wins...not exactly Game Day material.

I'd say the Clemson at Cuse game is the favorite to land it on September 14th

I've never seen the Syracuse program sustain good football in my adult life, I bet the Carrier Dome will be rocking if they keep this up. Dino is one heck of a coach.

Many younger fans are surprised to hear that Syracuse has been a powerhouse before. The last period went from the mid 80's to 2001. The Dome should have the look and feel of the crowds from the 90's this year. Gotta win though...CNY fans are very bandwagon like and don't support losing teams.
