CAA signs deal with FLO Sports
https://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Jour...ports.aspx

Just when you thought it couldnt get worse

The article is behind a paywall but if precedent means anything the CAA will now be behind a $30/month or $150/year paywall

It's $12.50/month according to the CAA Info sheet that I posted in the CAA General section of the message boards.

Here is the full CAA press release
Looks like their will be a regular GOTW like deal on CBS Sports Network
Schools can also put the games in local TV/RSN with no streaming.

Working out some type of deal with Capitol and WILM would be a good thing to do right about now

But at least it's not $30/month. Unless you're a comprehensive fans of all sports, I would think that most fans like myself will only subscribe during the seasons of the sports that they watch. For me, I will subscribe from November-March, so it will cost me $62.50/year.

If you pay monthly you pay $30 a month

If you pay annually you pay $150 for 365 days of access. This breaks down to $12.50/month

So if you just want November through March it will be $150. If you are going to pay that you might as well pay for the annual sub, which is what they want

Jeesh. They must really really want their product to be hard to see. I’m likely not paying for that service and I watched almost every game last year. Of course I watched a lot of L’s last year so maybe that has something to do with it.

The current Commissioner spends his time doing this sort of thing:
CAA commissioner Joe D'Antonio trying his hand vs. champs

Here's "Joey D"'s inspirational explanation of the Flo-Sports deal

What a disaster.

This conference is trash.

I'm not paying $150. This was a stupid move.

Fixed that for you. Don't want the PC Police dropping by your door to round you up for a little "re-education" camp visit.

When the schools allowed "Joey D" (in charge of 'administration' and 'NCAA Relations' for the Big East) to be hired, what did they expect? What part of his background suggested he had ever done anything - ever - that was visionary?

Hire a bureaucrat, and that's what you will get. I'm afraid our commissioner is the second coming of Tom Yeager - but without the charisma and rugged good looks...

As much as some of us disliked Yeagar, he at least had the conf on the up swing. We are headed the wrong way now and fast!
