Sports betting site projects Memphis Tigers as favored in all games

It's a March article, so I might have missed it if posted. Have we ever been favored to win all regular season games during the pre-season?

Hell no.

You can usually count the number of FBS teams on one hand who are projected to do so for a given season.

Wolo was on with the Athletic Marketing Director of Memphis yesterday and said the same...he's been covering the Tigers since 1981, and to his knowledge this is unprecedented and uncharted territory for Tiger football to his knowledge.

They discussed the declining attendance (nationally) in college sports and the Marketing Director penciled out TV exposure as the #1 reason. They are solely focused on creating a game-day experience in all facets for attendees so that they experience an event, rather than just watch a live game they can otherwise just watch on television.

Good point. That's something Louisville was able to do successfully - leverage bball to grow fball support. Could be some lessons learned there...w/o the cheating/scandals.

Yep. In order to purchase Louisville basketball tickets on their plaza level, you had to also purchase at least 2 football tickets. It worked.

Love the pub and can’t wait, but I wonder how the fan base will react when we likely lose a couple we shouldn’t? While we are favored to win each individual game, we would not be favored to go undefeated. We will lay a stinker or 2 in all likelihood

If we beat olemiss and play a night game the next week without rain we’ll have 45K for Southern. If we lose to olemiss we’ll have 23K for Southern.
