Sinclair owns local stations ABC 33/40 & CW 21 and have aired C-USA games in the past. This acquisition gives Sinclair coast-to-coast sports network coverage.

Sinclair bought the Fox Sports regional networks. It's possible that as a result we get more coverage out of it, which would be a good thing. That said, Sinclair is a bottom feeder as far as networks go. It’ll just be really cheap and the quality of the people they have on the broadcasts will go down sharply. Sinclair is the second-cheapest group in TV news (after Nexstar).

The reality remains that crappy coverage from Sinclair would probably be an improvement over the current C-USA sports media deal.
