Charlotte takes the series over MTSU with a 5-0 win on Sunday. Quite a battle setting up for the last 2-3 seeds in cusa tournament.

Anyone know why the 1st two games of the Charlotte series at UAB this weekend will be played at Lawson State Community College instead of the UAB on campus stadium?

I could only assume to avoid crossover with the softball tournament. The games were scheduled @ Lawson before the season began.

I'm going to be Sofa King pissed if I can't watch the baseball games on TV this weekend at "UAB" because of the softball tournament.

Asked that question on UAB's board and that (CUSA softball) was the only answer they seemed to come up with.

Now hearing that the games will now be played at a local High School and no TV or audio. Come on UAB!! Get your sh*t together. What a great Senior Weekend you have planned for your Senior class playing most of their final home series at a High School.

Please note that fans coming to Friday's game will not be allowed into the parking lot before 4 p.m. due to the dismissal of school.

UAB baseball got bumped from their field due to the CUSA softball tournament being held at UAB softball field is what the few UAB's fans have said. Was scheduled to be played at a community college but was moved this week to the high school which has field turf

Maybe I'm not following. Can they not be exclusive? Do they share a parking lot?

Exactly. I'm guessing the attendance for the baseball game and a softball tournament game at that same time will be around 1000 to 1500 max. Especially since the host team isn't playing in the tourney.

My guess is that somehow the softball tournament is using the baseball field as a practice field to warm up on and do BP???

Also on Saturday evening the Birmingham Legion(our pro soccer team) will be playing a match. They usually draw around 5k a game. Parking Saturday might be a nightmare with the softball tournament and the soccer match that evening. Also, with all the rain we switched to the high school field because they have turf for baseball. Just a lot going on and the weather doesn't help anything.
