Exclamation Did Dabonomics reveal ACCN revenue projection?
Clemson projects their revenue to increase approximately $4M per year through 2023.
One million of that is probably just the regular TV contract escalator... but that leaves plenty for the the ACC Network projection!

That could easily be within the range of increase in Alumni donations plus the escalator.

True, but I was able to factor both of those things out.

I think it is a reflection of the donation and revenue boost you get from a national title.

I don't think so. Donations go to IPTAY, which is a separate line item. This is all CUAD revenue, which could include some other things for sure, but it would definitely include whatever they project internally for the ACC Network.

No.

According to USA today (link) they have averaged an increase of $5 million per year over the last decade. Looks like Clemson is actually being conservative with their estimates.

Hidden at the end of this News & Observer article about the launch of the ACC Network is this statement:

Quote:"It is expected to bring at least $10 million in revenue for each ACC school."

Take it for what it's worth, but it's not far off from the Clemson numbers...

Yes, I saw that. It didnt specify if it would be eventually or right off the bat. That would be much better than the SEC first year. Ten million per school right away, maybe wishful thinking, but it wouldnt surprise me, for two reasons. One, the ACC has ESPN as its partner for distribution. Two, the ACC and ESPN has the experience of the SECN. And with that experience and hindsight, maybe able to better capitalize on the things that the SEC could have done better. A third reason is that bb is what really has driven networks like the BTN, initially. Nobody has better bb with more bb rabid fanatics than the ACC. It remains to be seen if the ACC can also capitalize.

I think it boils down to 2 things:
1) what RATE is the ACCN able to get? (SECN gets $1.30/month in footprint)
2) do all in-footprint carriers sign up right away (thinking of Comcast especially)
