it's obvious the lines have been drawn in the 'macro sandbox'

I'm curious how the board sees this playing out in the next handful of decades...

you guys already know it's line 1b) vs. line 1c) in my camp...

however, I find it interesting to see others form their own op-ed on the macro side...

disclaimer: I have no dog in the hunt other than curiosity in 'reading'....

Low T compensated by High T.

Seriously, it was guts and balls that built this nation. From freezing their butts off in the American Revolution and eating shoe leather to survive, to walking in lines across open fields with bayonets fixed for charge into a hail of mini-balls to settle the Civil War, to the Big Stick of TR, and through two World Wars and charges by the yellow hoards in Korea where we froze our butts off again, and into the Jungle of Viet Nam it was hard nosed, tough guys that got the job done. Football, boxing, racing anything from horses to dragsters & bikes, the nation was built on testosterone.

Since the feminist movement began there has been a neutering of America until the point now that any natural male instinct is being derided or criminalized.

So Stink for the future all I've got to say is that the balless, feckless, dweeb generation had better pray that High T (Technology) will do their fighting for them or else they are going to wind up as shish kabobs at the end of Chi-com rifles.

We still have some tough guys, but they are clearly the exception rather than the rule and our wussified corporate society is looking to docilize them even more. We've got no chance in a face to face mano e mano showdown boots on the ground all out war. So drones, aircraft, satellite weapons, etc are our first line of defense, and likely to be the last before wmd's are utilized.

The future faces two grave threats, IMO. First is the use of antiquated dirty weapons or small nukes delivered internally through insecure borders and detonated in major population centers. I just don't see nation states jumping to nukes because everyone has too much to lose. Except.......wussified Europe and an ever increasing wussified United States.

Every notice how it is the little fart on the playground or in the hood that pulls a knife or gun? Well the more passive and feminine a society becomes the more likely that grouping is to use WMD's. Why? Because they are scared crapless by the prospect of facing an angry testosterone filled male in hand to hand combat, so like the runt on the playground they'll whip out the big weapon early in hopes of stopping a fight which in the end they will only escalate.

If you want a safe world, and a safe United States you need real guys, with real guts, and real nuts, toting the lead and keeping the peace. It worked for 200 years and didn't need to start changing in the 70's because Gloria Steinem felt oppressed and a lot of women fed up with tricot polyester felt better after their C cups were ablaze. And those guys were brought up with actual physical education, actual contact sports, fist fights to settle things from bullies to girlfriends without expulsion and getting locked up, and they grew up working from the time they were old enough to pick crops, milk cows, mow grass, etc. They weren't molly coddled, over legislated, pacified, neutered by feminine sensitive public education, and parked with a biggie coke and pile of chips in front of damned video games.

I'm totally good with women's rights, but they should never come at the expense of men being men, and boys being raised to be men.

If we hadn't been constantly trying to neuter the male the mortality rate among minority young men would not be so high. When those guys didn't learn how to take and give a punch they started shooting each other which is a chickenshit approach to confrontation.

So as we raise our kids so the future will be. Raise a nation in which the majority of males are only tough at video games, have never experienced real conflict of any kind thanks to nanny state, and you'll get a future in which wusses too afraid of a real fight have been preconditioned to push a button on the joystick in order to solve their problems.

I call that damned bleak! And when everyone's technology is a wash with each other, we are right back into boots on the ground and that's when the button pushers will freak.

And that my friends is where fact meets feelings as Q5 noted above.

Those who know vs those who don’t. Each side decides their team. Only one knows what they don’t know....

Yesterday I was watching a video of this millennial trying to take a nail off a wall. The idiot didn't even know how to use a hammer. It's sad, really.
