Great question! Tough road slate got to us early? Pitching let downs? Injuries? Youth? Batters hit a wall psychologically? Sun's too hot? Sky's too blue?

The whole state of South Carolina is down this year so maybe there's a "baseball flu" going around in Conway, Clemson, and Columbia.

We did win today to prevent the Ragin' Cajuns from sweeping us so with series left against the Mavericks and Mountaineers there's still that sliver of hope this looooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg season can redeem itself with a good Sun Belt tournament showing

The scary thing about Coastal is as bad as we are right now

If it clicks back in place we could go on a nice run

That’s scary. Because both of those teams sucked.

After being there all weekend, I think Coastal has a couple of issues. From some of the people I talked to, leadership is one of the issues. They don't have a Lancaster or a Woodall to demand excellence.

The pitching staff has great velocity. We saw six guys throw in the 90s over the weekend. But, as the commercial says, you gotta "stay in your lane, bro."

College hitters can hammer high velocity fastballs if the location is off. And, I think that was a problem for CCU all weekend.

Just 1 game separating 1st from 5th in the East.

Can we talk about how bad the East has been this year? Wasn't there a ton of complaining about Louisiana being a 2 seed last year cause the East was so much better than the West? Should whoever finishes 2nd in the West just start bitching now cause they're gonna get screwed this year.

Texas State is the best team in the league both record and RPI wise and I'd say that's about it from a separation standpoint. To me, the top of the East is balanced and beating up on each other and holding its own against the top in the West.

Also, three West teams over .500 overall and four in the East. Even more for you ... four of the top six RPIs are in the East, now Georgia State is just flat out terrible so that brings the East down in that regard, but I don't think it's as cut and dry as you make it.
