RE: Diontae to the Steelers!!!
NFL revised their rankings a lot and had him listed as the 10th best receiver, and that's where he went... although a couple lower ranked receivers went 1st.

FWIW, they have Jon'Vea ranked 39th and Cody 45th. Cody has really dropped in his ranking and I'm not sure why.

They also have Ka'Dar ranked as the 20th best CB, and 8 CBs have been drafted already. So, he may actually have the next best chance to be called.

3rd highest a rocket has ever been drafted. Only Dan Williams (11th) and John Greco (65th) were taken higher.

A number of those corners that were drafted don't have Ka'Dar's speed.

Wow! I'm thrilled for DJ.

With his poor combine I was expecting him to go in the 5th or later.

I don't understand why Cody Thompson slipped, he had fantastic combine numbers, with Sparq scores in the topm25%.

WRs Coach Darryl Drake Says Steelers Had To Take Diontae Johnson At 66

https://steelersdepot.com/2019/04/wrs-co...son-at-66/

Says Tampa was p!$$ed, cause they planned to take him with the next pick. I don't know, Tampa didn't have the next pick.

4th highest, Mel Triplett went 55th overall in 1955. Kareem wasn't far behind Diontae at 86th overall.

DJ will have a pair of MAC quarterback throwing to him; he becomes the ninth MAC player on the Steelers roster which includes former Rocket Olasunkanmi Adeniyi.

Thanks. Another failure of the media guide not listing the positions of the draftees from the 50s and 60s.

Wow and the Steelers certainly know a thing or two about drafting WRs. This is a great position for DJ!
