Yeah, McCready is a snore. At least Hasseltine has NBA connects. Bring Vernon back! Pay him whatever he wants. He can still do his grind city thing and the 2-4 slot. Jason and John can stay as long as they want as long as they keep this guest lineup going. Today was a hit.

The answer is to bring in someone new that is unabashedly pro Tigers that'll give the fans in the Memphis area more even more Tigers and AAC information and talk without feeling ashamed of it. Heck I love the Grizzlies also but do we really need another host regurgitating the same topics show after show, hour after hour.[/u]

RE: Eric Hasseltine leaving 92.9
I was out of town for Eric's sign-off, so I'll catch the podcast. I found that I liked him - although his show was not really the best out there. According to Calkins, he just decided to step away and focus on the Grizz.

I think I heard they are using Calkins sidekick, Jeffrey Wright, as the interim. He's the other pro-Old Miss guy at the station - though not as bad as McCready. I have not caught the show this week.

If this isn't sarcasm, it's an incredible amount of ignorance. More than 40% of adults 18+ listen to at least one podcast a week.

Side note, name any advantage radio has over podcasts (and don't tell me it's people calling in).

I can get in my truck, hit a button and boom, listening to live radio... I don't have to go looking for anything.

If you like listening to 20 minutes of commercials an hour, then local radio is for you. There is always aversion to new technologies by some.

I can hit one button on my iPhone and listen to anybody in the world. Listened to Bill Simmons interview Michael Lewis about how he wrote Moneyball and The Blind Side this a.m. Lots of Memphis references. Can pause when I need to make a call. Can fast forward through commercials and parts of the podcast I am not interested in.

Saw on twitter than J&J had Zagaria on, so listened to them for the first time in a while. Heard Martin giggle about Rick Barnes eating Wendy's for a 10 minutes. Back to pods.

Really? one button without making any selections or anything else. You push one button and anyone in the world pops up and starts playing? I guess your device reads your mind... just think real hard.. "I want to listen to mike and mike" hit the button and the device KNOWs you only want to listen to Mike and Mike...

No, you have to do more than hit one button to find the podcast you want to listen to.

Wow, such a trial to choose one of the 50 podcasts I subscribe to, which are delivered right to my phone. And literally tap on the one I listen to, and it starts. Somehow I overcome this obstacle. Enjoy your 20 minutes of commercials every hour.

BB is is one of his stubborn moods. Anyone can hit one button to listen to any pod they want. He will never admit we are right. It is what it is.

If serious, it is an irresponsible and a borderline incompetent statement to make that "nobody" listens to podcasts.

I do it every Wednesday and Friday for "What Happened When" and "Something to Wrestle With". I am subscribed to them on their youtube channel it sends me a notification straight to my phone I tap on the notification and it starts playing.
