Yeah, I've seen Broughton anywhere from 3-6 in most mocks...Copeland has popped up a few times, as has Kahlil Lewis and Kimoni Fitz. I'd be surprised to see more than one guy drafted though, as most of the seniors seem like camp contracts and Campbell, while talented, is almost 25 years old, which is a huge notch against him being drafted.
EDIT: Copeland has gotten some national love lately https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...lue-picks/
You are one The experts here.
Who did you keep raving about that had the best metrics nationally of the lineman. Or my confusing that with the year before?
Korey Cunningham, he was a 7th rounder last year for the Cardinals who ended up starting 5 of their last 7 games and allowing the least QB pressures of any OT against the Chargers in their game, and played as a more than serviceable tackle in that span. Still baffling how a guy with his measurables, tape, and advanced metrics didnt go higher than that.
They added two OLmen in the off-season so I'm presuming hell be shuffled back to a reserve role, but as the #60 rated OT in PFF in limited action, hes arguably one of the best reserve linemen in the NFL already.
What’s hilarious is that Korey took the starting job from Andre Smith, who was released from Arizona and picked up by the Bengals. Bengals has Big aCountry here in their back yard and should have drafted him.
Will be interesting to see if that connection strengthens under Taylor.

RE: Bearcats in the Draft
Well if Broughton or any other Bearcat gets drafted it will be in the 7th round. Looks like I over valued Broughton.

At this point its probably better for him not to be pick so he can decide which team he goes to. I think he will have a good pro career.

RE: Bearcats in the Draft
From CBS Sports Draft Tracker:
Quote:Cortez Broughton DL, CINCY
Height: 6-2, Weight: 293
Finally given the opportunity to rush inside at defensive tackle as a senior, Broughton had 18 tackles for loss thanks to a lightning quick first step and low center of gravity power. He's a plus athlete for the position and has loose hips after time spent on the edge early in his college career.
Grade: A

Great to see Dino Boyd get a shot. His grad transfer was in large part based on raising his profile, and it paid off in addition to being a big cog for us last year on that offensive line.

He's a perfect weak side 3 technique...I think the Chargers are going to be very happy with him as a depth/situational guy.

Agree. His trajectory is still on the up based on once he settled in to the right position and his mental approach changed he became a different player in his Senior Year. Very happy for the kid. I still thought he'd get drafted sooner than the 7th...
