RE: PostponaPalooza
I'll apologize for reading 7's post too quickly in order to pair the end of one sentence "the last three years." and the next "That's more than the entire previous decade."
However, in answer to 7's "Who tf defines the last decade like that lol."
Gee, there have been recaps done by major networks, MTV, Time magazine, etc., that refer to the 1990s, the 70s, etc. I've yet to see or read something focusing on the 2007-2016 decade.
So I'll admit I didn't read that first post as literally as you meant it. So sorry.
North Coast take your own suggestion and check your agenda (condescending attitude) at the door.
Before you issue PSAs or lecture UnknownScout on his breakdown of games, perhaps consider that he knows the difference when he singled out two games at Soldier Field as not being "In DeKalb = on campus at Huskie Stadium, NOT off-campus neutral site" and understand you can't have it both ways. By NCAA definition those were NIU home games.
The same as you and 7 "assumed" my post was a knock on schedulepalooza, it was simply pointing out that Huskie football has a past history that is too often overlooked or ignored. We have played a handful of P5 opponents (Kansas State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Maryland, Iowa State) even in DeKalb, but unfortunately not as often as we'd like and didn't sustain that type of scheduling. STF did indeed bring that philosophy back; let's hope it remains.

How does that make sense?
If you have paid attention to my other posts you would know I despise the ILL-ness. So "ui" is not a first name.

What makes "prairiedawg" special when the word dog is spelled differently? Because it means something else.

"uiniu" is a palindrome: a palindrome is a word, number, phrase or other sequence of characters which reads the same backward as forward, such as racecar, 10801. The 'n" is in the heart (or middle).

My apologies!! I thought you must have attended both schools.

Palindromes are cool.

Disagree that it doesn’t matter. They are a top G 5 program now so it would be a good team to have here. These things do happen though and I don’t blame admin on this one. We’ve done the same thing to other teams when better offers come up.

The only thing that matters is that they win against the schedule. To get a BCS bowl, you have to be undefeated and have a little luck in the rankings. (AKA 2012)

Assuming that is the goal, winning the MAC is nice, but winning a bowl game is more important. Making a BCS game helps with revenue. I have watched that game against FL ST several times and I still think we had a shot going into the 4th quarter. The true colors of our offense came to light when Lynch threw that interception. Anyway, that is the past.

My assumption is that our offense will be better this year regardless of who is QB. We were too predictable the last few years. Utah is a winnable game if we catch them sleeping at home. We have nothing to lose by shocking Utah at home. They have everything to lose. Not that I think its going to happen, but they will not have a lot on film of the new staff plays. I am sure we will hold back as much as possible against IL ST.

Nebraska will be looking for revenge from the last time we won. Vandy is winnable as well. We will see what happens OOC this year. The next 4 years we have at least 2-3 P5 teams.

The secret is just win. I am worried about our experience at DE now that we lost both starting ends from last year. Otherwise, our D will be solid. Anyone know about a kicker????

Maybe I am just optimistic, but I think we will be a better overall team now that we have anew coach.

We will go as far as our Oline carries (no pun intended) us. It is the area that I am most concerned about.

For sure. Cox may be a stud and make up for the loss of max. Or he may not and it becomes a big problem. The middle looks solid...Perez, steckler are very good. I prefer Veloz not be RT and not have to move Steckler there. Need Hawn to step up.

It will help having Brinkman blocking at TE. Harmston sucked IMO. So that will help some.
