Houston HS implements dress code-for parents!
https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/24/us/housto...index.html

"...James Madison High School in Houston has implemented a dress code targeted toward parents that has riled some people up.
Principal Carlotta Outley Brown wrote in a letter earlier this month to parents that they cannot enter school grounds while wearing pajamas or revealing clothing. The school is also prohibiting parents from wearing leggings, sagging pants, low-rider shorts, short dresses and low-cut tops. Women can't wear a satin cap, hair curlers, shower cap or bonnet on their heads...."

Madison is lower middle income, 50-60% Black with the rest Hispanic.

Some people need to learn that school attire is not the same thing as walmart attire.

That's so stupid. I don't even wear my PJs to the back yard and I have a high fence. I remember letting my two kids watch cartoons until a certain hour and then I would tell them enough of that and to also make their beds. That's why my oldest son said that Marine bootcamp was a joke that I was tougher, it made my day.

Walmart, airlines, everywhere, people need to be taught/trained/forced to put clothing on.

Except really hot girls. The less the better.

I agree with all points but this one. So long as airlines keep finding new ways to make their planes as claustrophobic as possible, then people should wear whatever makes them the most comfortable. I'd rather have a sleeping girl in her PJ's next to me than a guy in a three-piece suit that's so miserable he's about to create an incident.

Good for the administrators there. Lead by example and increasing expectations so that these young people can elevate themselves when given the opportunity.

Yoga pants are simultaneously the very best and very worst women's fashion item of the last few years.

I agree on airlines. If they're going to keep treating people like cattle, the people should be able to make themselves as comfortable as possible.

Bravo to the school. I'm shocked at what people consider appropriate to wear these days..... Especially in PUBLIC.

I'll be in the grocery store and see people wearing stuff that I'd change out of just to go down to our building's laundry room.

Apathy, lack of self esteem, lack of respect.

Pick one.

Of course there are parents complaining. I guess we know which ones wear PJs to school now.

They are a catch 22.

They can make an average back side look spectacular.

They can also, in the hands of "larger" people, make folks look like they're smuggling midgets in their pants.

I try and keep my #1 Kate Beckinsale in mind....

Yes especially on fatties....My Mother had this comment..."Just because they make those in your size does not mean you should wear them."

All three are ridiculous but the last one takes the cake. What is it with people? Do they crave attention THAT much?
