Drive back? How paltry.

Being late in the year I had used up all my time on the shared jet so I had to slum it by driving. Flying commercial would have been worse as even in first class there is no telling the stature of the passengers.

Doss can't afford his own jet. Sad, really...

Wow! doss was outside in the cold, and I was "inside" a club suite.

Returned home and watched the replay on tv the next day. I said to my wife: "I honestly don't remember it being that cold."

I am proud that you had one day of Club Life. You have to admit it is a better way to live.

Pike to Binns Dual bobblehead for season ticket holders.

The entire 2009 team is being inducted into the Bearcat Hall of Fame (so is Dan Hoard).

https://gobearcats.com/news/2019/5/6/Ath...Class.aspx

While the 2009 team will be celebrated throughout the upcoming football season, the weekend of October 18-19, 2019 will feature the annual Legion of Excellence dinner on Friday and an in-game recognition during the football game against Tulsa on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Nippert Stadium. The team will be welcomed back to Cincinnati and former Head Coach Brian Kelly will attend the Saturday recognition.

To forever commemorate the 2009 undefeated regular season, UC is creating a dual bobblehead of the game-winning Tony Pike to Armon Binns 29-yard touchdown which capped a 45-44 come-from-behind win at Pitt on Dec. 5, 2009.

The dual bobblehead features Pike delivering the pass and Binns in his iconic touchdown-celebration pose raising the football with an outstretched arm. The memento also includes an audio component which will play the radio and TV calls of the TD pass from the Voice of the Bearcats, Dan Hoard, and ESPN's Sean McDonough.

All 2019 UC football season-ticket holders will receive the dual bobblehead, one per ticket purchased. The only way to guarantee receiving one of the limited-edition items is to purchase 2019 season tickets which go on sale on Monday, May 13. The season-ticket book, also exclusive to season-ticket holders, features a dual 2009-2019 season-ticket design showcasing Bearcats stars of past and present.

Students who purchase a season-ticket package for $70, which includes a limited edition Under Armour rUCkus t-shirt and gameday food vouchers, can add the bobblehead to their order for $10. Students who have already purchased season tickets can call the athletics ticket office to update their order.

Anyone who has yet to renew their tickets for this season and new season ticket holders should contact the athletics ticket office at 1-877-CATS-TIX or online at GoBEARCATS.com/tickets. UC opens the 2019 campaign in primetime on ESPN against UCLA on Thursday, Aug. 29 in Nippert Stadium.

More information on the Legion of Excellence will be released as it is finalized.

I'm all in with the celebration and the bobblehead for all of us season ticket holders. I hope there is some commemorative for the rest of the fans to take home on October 19th. As a season ticket holder, I appreciate the "thank you" gesture but I'm already invested in the program. Let's do something to fill the stadium when unranked Tulsa visits.

The last place Reds' crowds are noticeably larger when they offer items such as this. UCLA and UCF should be sellouts anyway but prop up a game against Tulsa with some swag for the infrequent or first time attendees to build the brand.

Hopefully we can cheer the team like crazy and boo Lyin Brian likewise. Or turn our backs when he is introduced.

The article states: "All 2019 UC football season-ticket holders will receive the dual bobblehead, one per ticket purchased." If that is true, I can sell you one one of my four on the cheap. Can you send me a Ben Franklin?

Hearing the ones to Suite/Club season ticket holders bobblehead will have a tiny led screen that we display the play. Cool.

Honestly, UC should go all out this year. Pefrect Season 2009 and Pike to Binns merchandise. I would love to to see retro merchandise every year honoring a specific basketball and football team.

Why not honor Kenyon, DerMarr, and 2000 basketball team for the upcoming season too. That team spent 12 weeks at #1 and went 16-0 in C-USA. Kenyon player of the year merchandise, 16-0 conference champions merchandise, and 12 weeks #1 ranking AP poll merchandise.

Then the following year you can honor the 1950 football (Sun Bowl team) and 1961 basketball. Jump around through Bearcat history

Also, it will play the sound of a gavel landing with a judge rendering a decision regarding breech of contact for not paying for your club seats because you don't like the sight lines.

Already PIF. And moved to better line and under overhang, Yes it did cost some more $$$.

What I did when the new tax law was to end the deduction I contributed 10 years money in advance (and deducted) to the foundation and each year the foundation transfers the credit.

The benefit of a UC MST

Fans can choose to boo BK if they wish. I won't. The man orchestrated the two greatest back-to-back seasons in the history of Bearcat football during UC's brief stay in a BCS 6 conference.

We're generally not happy with the way any successful coach departs (Dantonio, Kelly, Jones) because the courtship with other schools, covertly or overtly, is offensive to Bearcat loyalists. I get that.

But I think Brian Kelly returning to be honored and to honor that '09 team is a plus. And we're getting a game with Notre Dame for the first time ever. I'm not sure that's purely coincidental. A prestigious road game, no less, with an excellent payday.

The stars are aligned for UC football to be the feel good story in Cincinnati sports in 2019.

I'm with you. BK and those teams gave me my best time as a sports fan. Attended 24 of 27 games from the 2008 and 2009 seasons, spent nearly every extra dollar I had to do so and I have no regrets. Can't wait to honor the 2009 team and that included BK.

I posted this on my twitter account this morning (@theCliftonAve), but I think BK deserves this honor. For those of us old enough to remember, nobody believed UC football could win on a national stage in this city, including our own fans/alums/students. BK taught us that it can happen here. He sold it- to the players, to the fans. UC football was the hottest ticket in town in 2009. The players thought they could walk through walls. Here is a video I posted showing what type of salesman and motivator he was

Why boo the architect of the greatest UC football run in our lifetimes? So he left. He went to Notre Dame, his dream job. Its not like the man bolted to Pitt or Purdue for pete sake.

HA HA. Joke's on them.

The bobble head is of Pike Tobinns… the main character in the new hobbit movie.
