At the very least they are being transparent about it. Unlike the Catholic Church.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, men who put themselves in a position to have frequent contact with children and adolescents need to be watched. It's what pedophiles do. I'm not saying all men, my father in law was a boy Scout leader and you could not find a more kindly honorable man than him.

LOL they kept the files secret forever, it wasn't until they got sued and were forced to comply.

People who are are pedophiles seek out these positions. That doesn't mean people who seek out these positions are pedophiles.

Agree. The organization is too large and there are not enough people that want to volunteer for virtuous reasons. Pedophiles are more than happy to fill the gap. Frankly, I wouldn't let my child under anyone's supervision in that type of scenario unless it was with the dad of a kid that was with them. While I know virtuous people that genuinely want to help exist, chances are too great that if you don't have your own child involved you probably don't need to be there.

Something told me early on that there was something amiss with many of these men. Most of them I've met looked like creepy Uncle Ernie. I'm glad I was never a boy scout.
