So far, the changes are as expected this late in the recruiting cycle. With a good point guard and Cumberland returning, we are a tournament team, IMO.

Yeah that would be underwhelming. He can be had at any time if other big guys don’t commit

Hopefully Rehfeldt can at least turn him into a productive backup. Dancing Bearcats and beacons for... Chris Vogt?!?

It is my understanding that the staff will be using the gif, or a gif for ANY and ALL commits to the program. I think people put their own projections on what the coach sending out a gif means...

Look at the way Fickell and the football program post about Walk On players. They use the same level of excitement, and the same graphics as our top recruits.

Yeah except Brannen didn’t tweet a damn thing when Davenport signed, which is a much bigger deal. So our expectations were understandably high given this tweet out of the blue. He hadn’t tweeted since 4/25

Some of you are really over reacting about a damn tweet. Go back to the football team. The entire coaching staff does the Redout and Blackout correct? They havent done it for every person to sign in this class. Its NEW. Same with this staff. They decided to do something NEW. Maybe he had a talk with coach fickle, maybe they just sat down and put something together. It isnt a big deal, yet for some reason everyone is making it one

Man, when he sings "When A Man Loves A Woman"... I tell ya, it doesn't get much better than that.

Which coach would have ensured Jarron would stay at UC? This was the likely outcome regardless.

Nick Van Pitino would have! We had him in the bag as our next coach, and let him go. The program is forever ruined.

being an nba assistant coach doesn't usually translate to being a good college coach. Remember the great Ed Badger? former chicago bulls coach that signed with UC to coach and our program suffered big time from it. Nicks personality wouldn't have been a good thing for recruiting. Were you one that also had mentioned former BEARCAT JAMES WHITE? THE guy that let the FANS down when he quit attending classes during the NIT? UC had a chance to play in the final game of the NIT but he and Mohammed let the team/ fans down. They probably never finished their degrees either. We ( uc ) will be quite fine with Brannen. He's already brought in a kid that Cronin would have not been interested in.

I can see it now. The malcontents are morphing from "Mick can't coach offense" into the "this wouldn't be happening if we'd have just hired Nick Van Exel" crowd.
