I was hoping for a good hire, someone that would signify this program hasn't peaked. Luke Fickell isn't that hire. Maybe he'll actually show up in a month, after O$U (you know, the school he actually cares about) is done with the playoffs. At least I will have most Saturdays free now, I guess.

It's been a fun ride boys, but.......

Interesting to see ole Rath on that thread. He sure didnt seem to rosy about CLF at the time either. Wonder what his thoughts would be on this whole BB-Mick-JB situation?

good luck jarron. back to back first round picks regardless of coach would be a fantastic achievement for the university

RE: Jarron is testing the waters...
Honestly, this is mostly good news.

1) he comes back, with feedback of what to needs to do to improve. JB builds offense around his skill set, helps him turn into an All American and absolute monster

2) he kills it in workouts and gets drafted - only helps boost Cincy stock

3) he leaves, goes undrafted. this sucks, but now we can begin the rebuild and get some other guys playing time and start laying foundation for our next tourney team. build a strong culture to attract guys in 2020

I'm sure someone has already said this, but unless someone like Calipari was coming to UC, Jarron was probably going to test it anyway. To get someone without a college degree (Van Exel) or someone else just based on their 'playing career' would have only made things worse long term.

I would expect Cumberland to test the waters even if Cronin had stayed. He can find out what part of his game where the Pro's want to see improvement, assuming he comes back.

RE: Jarron is testing the waters...
There is absolutely no reason not to test. You get feedback on what to improve on and a general feeling about how you stand vs this year's class and next year's projected class.

Well, nobody can accurately say JC is nowhere to be found on any "credible" mock drafts anymore. ESPN's new one has him going to Orlando with the 47th pick.

It's Insider but here's the link if you've got it.

For the 2020 draft fwiw, time will tell if he gets a combine invite...combine invite = $$$

I think he was listed down in the 90's in the cbs ratings board. That typically won't get you into the combine. Portsmouth was last weekend, but that's only for seniors anyways so he would not have been in that group.

With the dancing Bearcat, can we assume that Jarron is coming back?

I guess it could be that Brannen was informed that Doss bought season tickets again.

Hope it is Cumberland....

Brendel put out the Bearcat signal, which he has said means a commitment. We’ll see.

Jaquon Parker also just posted "Remain Calm" with some emojis on Facebook.

I'm thinking Cumberland y Cumberland?

I’m guessing Bolton. Think the JC x2 thing will be up in the air for a while.

With the news about him not getting a NBA Combine invite it may have expedited the decision...but I'd be fine with either bit of news at this point.
