Maybe with a lull in CUSA members popping up you guys will return to ranking the conferences, I enjoyed that thread the past few years.

About dang time. Where is Arkansas? North Carolina? Louisville? Rutgers? Oregon State? These are among the very worst teams in college football and would finish at the bottom of nearly every conference in FBS. 112 is too late to be seeing the first P5 bottom feeder.

OK. I was hoping someone else would do this, but it looks like that's not going to happen. FriscoDawg, keep an eye on my spreadsheet work again this year. Initially I wll only share projected final average rankings for the G5. Once all the P5 conferences have made Uncle Matt's countdown, I will include them. Here goes.

With ECU making an early appearance at 111, our friendly P6 conference now has 3 teams in the countdown and slides into second place behind the Mountain West. Here's your update.

MWC 65.67
AAC 71.04
C-USA 75.21
MAC 77.25
SBC 81.70

IND 78.67

5/6/2019

Includes East Carolina at 111

Maybe coaching changes will ignite a turn around? The home schedule isn’t great with two FCS and no P5 teams. On the bright side, I did read where they’ve already sold over 12,000 season tickets which is way ahead of last year...impressive considering the schedule. Aresco said total conference payouts will be $10M+ when the new contract goes into effect. While it just keeps UCONN, UC and USF whole, the other schools should see a large yearly increase. If $12M is the deficit in their worst performing years accompanied by lowest enrollment, the coming years should see a manageable improvement (never break even) allowing spending doesn’t get out of hand and the enrollment issue resolves.

lol, wake me up when they get to the top-30...AAC will be ranked above MWC, MAC, CUSA, and the Belt.

ECU needs to schedule Kansas, UTEP, and Rice STAT.

I suspect ECU might be becoming a prep school. My son was part of the largest Freshman class in 2016, but there's been lots of attrition since then. I guessing for in state students a lot are transferring to their first choice UNC or NC State after 1 or 2 years.

Get your academics in order, prove you can work in the realm of a university system and get the hell out of dodge. Prep School no. Community college or Juco, yes. They might not be classified as one but that's exactly what kids are using them for.

I've been seeing more and more billboards for ECU in South Hampton Roads. Guess this is a reason why.

ECU is trying to get more out of state students to make up for their budget shortfalls. It’s not pretty in Greenville right now.
