Can't shoot? He is a selective shooter as a sf and does a lot of things very, very well, High motor, great defender, powerful player who is unselfish. Great kid who Memphis could really utilize if we are lucky enough to land him.

Sounds a little like an Antonio Anderson type of player. Glue guy. He turned out to be a pretty good player for the Tigers.

RE: Chris Moore...
I know some of you are very opinionated about this kid, so don’t shoot the messenger!

I’ve got reason to believe he will be the first Tiger pledge of 2020. Staff feels very strong about it. He takes an official next month for the OM/MEM game and should be a Tiger before he leaves campus. I’ve attached quotes from his latest interview..

After taking an unofficial visit to Memphis on June 20, four-star West Memphis High School forward Chris Moore is planning to take an official visit to Memphis on August 31.
Although Moore is very comfortable with Memphis coach Penny Hardaway and his staff, he said he wants to continue to feel the love on his official visit next month.
“I’m really taking the official visit on August 31 to get more in tune with the campus and the coaches,” Moore said. “The campus was beautiful and my first time getting to see it was amazing.”
“I just want to be able to feel the love that weekend and actually feel like I’m a Tiger,”Moore said.
At one point, the 6-foot-7 forward did not think he would be recruited by Memphis. After receiving an offer from the Tigers, Moore has been high on Memphis despite being shocked by how hard they are recruiting him.
Moore added that it is a blessing to be recruited alongside five-star players like Jalen Green and Greg Brown in the 2020 class.
“It’s amazing [that Memphis is recruiting me] because out of all the kids that they can pick in the country they picked me,” Moore said. “I’m just blessed to be recruited by one of the best colleges.”

Board man.

The thing is that yeah he's undersized. Doesn't matter as much in college though as it does in the NBA. Great teams are built by 5-star one and done players mixed in with really good college players.

100%. His size (or lack-thereof) if being way overblown by some. So long as he comes in knowing his role is to rebound and defend he can be a very impactful college player. This is definitely I trust Penny and his assistants to make the right decision. They are not desperate for recruits so if they take one then you know they see him fitting into their plan.

Rebounding is a skill that carries over to the next level. If he is snatching that many, he will always be a good rebounder.

6'9"

But size isn't everything. The name that popped into my head was Charles Barkley. Barkley was 6'6"

IIRC, Joey was listed at 6-9 and 270, but was measured for the combine at 6-7.

RE: Chris Moore...
I may be in the minority, but I'm skeptical. I've seen him play in person 4 times. He's super athletic, but he has no jump shot. Not even from 10 feet. If Penny wants a 6'4" power forward, I'm all in. BTW he is 6'4". Look at the pictures of him with Penny.

I'm glad he's performing well. Seems like a nice kid.
