Spring Game 2019 Thoughts
Went to the spring game yesterday and wanted to share some of the thoughts from the game.

First the OL. It was encouraging to see 16 OL dressed for the game yesterday. I read last year only 5 OL dressed for the game. Perhaps because of the pace they play it smaller OL is better, but I find it concerning only 3 weigh 300lbs. Regardless their seems to be a lot more depth.

They seemed better, but was concerned when they got to Woody on 2 of the first 3 plays of the scrimmage.

Speaking of Woody, he just seems so calm now and has better handle of the defense. Jo-El Shaw continues to impress me as well and look for a jump from him.

Defensively, they stopped the offensive on 12 of the first 15 drives from scoring and then faded in the 2nd half. Hopefully, this gets corrected because that seemed to plague them like last year.

Overall, I see the team taking steps forward this year and have them pegged between 4-6 wins. I think this could be like the 2011 Golden Flashes where they may have a slow start, but then start clicking the 2nd half of the season.

Beautiful day for the fans and recruits as well at Dix Stadium.
