Is that correct and complete? If so, there are still a couple of spots open. Someone help me out here. What about Carlo Marble and Sam Dunkham, who evidently were on campus this year?

Carlo Marble should be a Jr. Not sure if he’s on scholarship or not. Sam Dunkum is a 7’0 transfer from Lafayette, Creighton and East Ms Juco that sat out this season. He is listed on verbal coconuts as a walk on Jr as well as Pippin. Both were with the team this season sitting out.

Dunkum and Besovic would give us two 7-footers. Kind of an interesting situation for Little Rock.

So, if Dunkum and Marble and Pippins are given scholarships this season, that would make 13 if my math is correct.

Dunkum started his collegiate basketball career 2015-2016 season with the Lafayette Leopards. A private liberal arts college in Pennsylvania. Did not play because of an injury. He transferred to Creighton. He did not play at Creighton. In 4 years of competitive basketball he has not played a lick. I am guessing he got a medical redshirt for his freshman year at Lafayette. Transferred to Creighton. Did he sit out a year at Creighton per NCAA rules then transfer again to Little Rock where he sat out another year? He hasn't been on the court in 4 years. I don't think any coach would give him a scholarship. He possibly has 2 years left if he got a medical redshirt.

I doubt Marble or Dunkum will be scholarship players at this point. Wasn't aware that Pippens wasn't on athletic scholarship. He is local and might qualify for some type of academic scholarship.

So really, until we find out which of those three, if any, will be on the roster, we won't know where we stand.

Verbal Commits is not showing any recent activity for us. Surely after last season's experience, DW is not going to leave scholarships on the table again this year.

If Marble does actually play this season, regardless of his roster status, that could be important. In his class (2016), ESPN had him as a 3-star, and the #46 ranked SF in the country. With Burns and Tucker gone, we are going to need some perimeter scoring help.

Dunkum has a reasonable amount of agility for a big man and a nice hook shot. May be a project, but it looks like there is something there to work with.

No doubt we will be signing another player or two. When it will be announced, I don't have a clue.

In any case, whether scholarship or walk-on, there is at least a possibility that we could see this on the fall roster:

Besovic 7-0
Monyyong 6-11
Maric 6-10

I don't think we have ever had that kind of height, have we?
