Why do you say that is vengeful? We are repeatedly told how they are less violent than Americans, so you would effectively be making the city safer. We are also told how vital they are to the economy, so it's probably an economic boom for the cities in question.

We are told sanctuary city laws help to protect the vulnerable immigrants, so it seems this would be in the best interest of the immigrants as well. After all they are often fleeing violence in their own country, so it's best we put them in a place that welcomes them and will protect them.

What better place for illegals than in a Sanctuary City that was voted on to be that way by their citizens. I would say to all of them - you wanted it so now own it.

What's cruel is that the leaders of these sanctuary cities have not come forward and requested that these illegal immigrants be placed in their cities. That they claim to care so much about these people, yet do nothing to help them is the real travesty.

Political games?

Democrats have stated over and over again that no person is illegal. They have created policies (which break federal laws) in their states and cities to allow illegal immigrants to live there and collect benefits.

Pelosi & Co. should be sending buses and planes down the border to bring these future Americans home to places like San Fran, Denver, etc where they are welcome, and where they are equal.

Trump is just trying to reach across the aisle and give Democrats what they want.

I think this is a GREAT IDEA! Sanctuary cities welcome ILLEGALS so why not take in more? I keep hearing there's plenty of room in America and ILLEGALS add to the economy NOT strain infrastructure. WHY wouldn't Sanctuary cities like this and applaud Trump for helping their economy?
