I would prefer an offensive coach at this point vs defensive. Let's get someone that runs a program that is known for scoring/shooters, and is actually fun to watch. I'm so tired of rock fights and three or four guys on the floor that have zero offensive ability running in horrible offensive schemes.

I'm really surprised how many fans would rather have bad season half the time, but make a couple runs in the tourney, over having great regular seasons, making the tourney, but not advancing. You think maybe those teams get lucky to make a run. Trust me, I want a deep March run badly, but I really want to enjoy the regular season.

Give me 4 months of a fun season to enjoy every season with a depressing end over being miserable half the seasons, with a euphoric run every once in awhile.

I think it's a case of the grass being greener on the other side. I'm sure you'd see the same guys throwing temper tantrums if we were only making the NCAA tournament every few years and some years not even making the NIT. Even if it meant a few deep NCAA tournament runs in the years we did make it.

I think the minimum expectation for this program is and should always be to make the tournament every year. I could not go for making the tournament even 50% of the time. I could probably deal with 4/5 if that some how meant we were getting deeper runs. Im not sure why exactly these 2 options have to be mutually exclusive.

I'm OK with an occasional miss, but to miss 50% of the time is way too much. 10 or 20% is more like it. I'm just as concerned with what we do when we actually get to the tournament. Going in with a dud team is almost as bad as not making it. Of Cronin's 9, only two had any real chance of a serious run ('12 and '18). That was a real problem for a lot of fans.

I'm shocked that this ever had legs, really... on either side, that is.

May have gone like this:

Martin: Can I interview for the job?
Bohn: Sorry, we're not interested.
Martin to media: I have taken myself out of the running.

lol I was thinking the exact same thing or...

Martin: Can I interview for the job?
Bohn: Sure, do but first, do you mind me asking what is your buyout?
Martin: ~$4M
Bohn: We won't/can't pay that, I'm sorry.
Bohn: Ok well thanks anyway, Mike.

Bohn to the press: I love my AD, I love south carolina and after careful consideration I have pulled my name from the candidate list.
