Future Football Schedule
Unless if I missed it I didn't see a thread for future football schedule.
Here is a recently added game I can deal with for 2021....Maryland for $1.5 million.
It's a balance between providing funds and playing a perennial middling Big 10 team.
It makes sense to find a middling P5 team compared to the juggernauts we have played. Win and there is recognition and you steal $1.5 million from them.
In comparison, BG will get 800k for playing the Terps in 2024. (Granted BG has a 2 for 1 deal with them)
I'll give credit where credit is due....nice job JN!

I’ll bet you can credit Sean Lewis as much as anyone else. I guarantee he has somewhat of a say in the scheduling now. No way he takes the job otherwise.

RE: Future Football Schedule
I think I posted this elsewhere, but great news, got out of playing Arkansas next year. Here is what the article said:
The Razorbacks had originally contracted to play Kent State in the 2020 season opener, but that game was moved to Sept. 9, 2023, based on a copy of the amended contract obtained by the Democrat-Gazette.
The guarantee amount for that game was also redacted. The Golden Flashes were leery of playing three SEC games in the first month next season, as they are scheduled to play road games at Kentucky on Sept. 19 and Alabama on Sept. 26.

Well then you should have wanted to keep Arkansas they have not looked good this year.

I wouldn't mind another game out west. A team like Washington State or Colorado would be nice.

Wow so they trade Penn State for Arkansas?
Arkansas was probably the "winnable" SEC game out of the three. They lost to San Jose St this year and beat Portland St. by 7

JN takes the easy way out. He has a program that is bleeding money. Football will not and cannot make money in this day and age. He has a dept that cannot raise money. Mainly due to inexperience and Joey pissing everyone off. So, he has to chase the big money games.

Nevada was scheduled to play PSU 9/5/20. Nevada decided they didn’t want to come East two weeks in a row. They took Arkansas game , we took PSU. Same payday and no plane needed. More money to pay the salary of the highest paid AD by far in the MAC

Could someone that knows the history please explain how J. Nielsen became the highest paid AD in the MAC?

Starting to think Joel has family in Tuscaloosa and State College...
[/The Penn State Nittany Lions will open the 2020 season at home against the Kent State Golden Flashes, according to a report by The Daily Collegian.
The game is now listed on the official website of Penn State athletics. Penn State will host Kent State at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa., on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
Penn State was previously scheduled to open the 2020 season at Beaver Stadium against the Nevada Wolf Pack, but Nevada scheduled a game at the Arkansas Razorbacks instead for the same date. The Nevada-Penn State game will either be postponed to another season or canceled altogether.
If Nevada cancels the game with Penn State and it’s not a mutual decision, the Wolf Pack will owe the Nittany Lions a $1.45 million guarantee, per the terms of the contract
