Wish him all the best. I think he will be best off looking for a mid major gig.

No surprise at all. I think he was leaving regardless. He just wasn't going to get PT here. He wasn't nearly as skilled as a wing as we had all hoped/expected.

We now reside in a period were hundreds of players transfer every year across the country. You couple that with how the NCAA gives waivers to just about anyone, IF we lose a guy or two on the roster its not going to be like 2005-2006 were we were signing up NAIA guys. The new coach will likely be able to swing a guy he has history with as well.

Wish him the best! With a new coach coming in, that means we now have one more spot for a transfer that fits the new coaches' system. I don't mean to be insensitive, but if a couple bench players transfer out, it could be addition by subtraction.

Hope he's not the tip of the iceberg. Thought he had potential to get some minutes next year. The jump from JUCO to High level D1 is a big one and it was too big for him to make in one year. Think he could be a valuable role player on the right high major team. Wish him the best, despite him not playing as well as we hoped last year, he did step up on some key occasions and without him we may have lost a few more games.

If he was getting serious minutes next year, someone got seriously injured in the pre-season. He will probably end up in the Sun Belt or Socon and average like 6 points per game.

RE: 2019-2020 Roster Movement
well with Mick finally gone if we can get new coach hired quickly we may be able to take advantage of grad transfers.

Also note to upperclassman: You will now have to earn your starting spot back. I always thought Mick did an extremely poor job of managing playing time because I think he promised things to people who are juniors and seniors as a sort of merit based on effort and time in the program and I think that’s totally ridiculous. The best players should be getting the most minutes regardless of what year or how long they’ve been in the program.

To be fair, I think the three best players on the team are seniors (Brooks, Cumberland, and Scott), but I said right when this happens that Fredericks, Moore, and Nsoseme should be on notice...looks like Fredericks got out before he was told to.

Agree on the three best players. And most years under Mick, his seniors and juniors have been his best players. But I still think he mismanaged PT as a general statement.
And I don't think he went after grad transfers due to his 'promises' to his srs and jrs.

And yes, Moore and Nsoseme need to probably find a new home.

Always root and hope that Moore would explode in shooting but he missed three wide open threes against Iowa that could have altered the momentum in that game. So disappointing; if Jarron's cousin comes in it would be hard not to have confidence playing him ahead of Moore.

New coach priority is keep main core of team together including JC, then get one of three (Jaevin Cumberland, Pierce, Bolden)

Opens a scholly. Not a big loss. Moore should move to TX Southern or similar.

I have hope that Moore will blossom under a different coach. I like most of his game already. Just needs a lot more confidence in his shooting.

2 scholarships are now open this year and 3 next year. Would like to use at least one this year, but will see what happens.

Hopefully Fredericks is the only player transferring. I expected we would lose some players and if we only lose Fredericks that would be a huge win.

I wouldn’t be upset if a couple others left, but I also worry that as more and more Transfer it will lead to others following them. If it was just someone like Nsoseme than I wouldn’t be heartbroken either.

Moore I actually think can still develop into a decent player with the right coaching and coach pushing him. Maybe he never does anything though and he’s another I wouldn’t be heartbroken if he left.

I thought Fredericks would have a much better senior year next season but I could tell he was not happy in his lack of playing time. I do believe he won't transfer to UCLA.

yeah, I think Trevor Moore isn't a fan favorite either. Mick and all the coaches and media always bragged he couldn't miss in practice but boy, he threw bricks up most of the time in a game. Hopefully we see Nick Williams continuing to improve. He's got NBA potential in my opinion.
