our top 10 AAC vs the top 3 from the a10, the top 3 from the mwc, top 2 from the wcc, and 2 atlarges vs the top mid major (the woffords, the vermonts, the UNCGs of the world)
that would be interesting
Thats basically that gay bubble busters game challenge CUSA was a part of a long time ago.

Auburn? LSU? Wait how in the hell does this work?
Math. Big 12 has 10 teams. SEC has 14 teams. So 4 teams get left out each year, and the SEC rotates them, every two years.

I assume it's a true H&H, b/c the SEC is doing a 2-year rotation with the Big 12 for the 4 teams left out.

RE: New AAC vs SEC Basketball Scheduling Arrangement
Probably need an AAC/SEC challenge for UC, UCONN, WSU, UH, Memphis, and Temple and UCF
And then we can get a Big South or Southland Challenge for ECU, Tulane, Tulsa, USF, and SMU

Any team that loses to ECU in basketball gets left out of all challenges for one year. It's in the by-laws.

The SEC teams left out are the bottom 4 teams in the odd ending seasons, and they are left out for two years. In 2016-17, the bottom 4 teams were Missouri, LSU, Mississippi St, and Auburn.
This past season, the bottom 4 teams were Vanderbilt, Georgia, Missouri, and Texas A&M. Those should be the 4 teams for the AAC alliance if the Big 12/SEC challenge selects the teams the way they have been chosen.

If those are the teams, here was their final NET rankings from this past year. Basically 2 OK teams and 2 poor teams, but who knows, maybe Georgia or Vanderbilt will improve by the time we play them.
Missouri 74
Texas A&M 80
Georgia 115
Vanderbilt 155

The teams that were left out the past 2 years had changed coaches recently, or had a big rebuilding job. The 4 teams above, you have Georgia with a first year coach in Crean, new coaches at Vanderbilt and TAMU, and then Mizzou. At least 3 of those 4 will improve over the next 2 years.

No reason ECU, Tulane, Tulsa, USF, and SMU couldn't have a nice annual battle with say, the Southland.
In fact, maybe they can join the Southland?

This is the second time you've mentioned 24 win USF as part of a Southland challenge. A USF which returns every single key piece (9 out of top 10 players) back next year, and a USF that I specifically remember in a dogfight against UC this year, before UC pulled it out.
USF will challenge for an NCAA bid next year and you want to relegate us to playing the Southland.

ESPN is going to want the teams with the best national brands. Probably the 4 of Memphis, Cincinnati, UConn, and Wichita. Potentially Houston or Temple gets in there, but I think the other 4 draw more national eyeballs.
Considering the wording in tweet and adding common sense I would have to think that's right.

Of course because it turned out that our new media deal was all ESPN+ just like it was reported. The guy wrote a tweet that says four teams from a fourteen team conference will start playing four teams from a twelve team conference.
