BJCC Stadium update: BJCC to announce naming rights sponsor for Birmingham’s new multi-use stadium Thursday afternoon.

Excellent. Been hoping for some stadium news.

I can see it now... The Shunnarah Bowl, with the entire I-65 facing side one giant billboard that says "Call Me Alabama!"

I hope it's a good name.

Who could it be? I was thinking UAB might want the naming rights themselves. Any other guesses?

UAB Health Systems Stadium doesn't exactly sing.

I don’t think it will be UAB related just because UAB is already involved funding.

We should reach out to the companies that own the rights to the Clark candy bar or the Clarks line of shoes. That way we can name the stadium after the best coach in UAB history while still making some cash on the naming rights.

Wells Fargo already has its name on at least one major stadium, but they are very nice to their departing CEO responsible for the most recent scandal. They made him leave with only a $123 million severance package.
