UTA Takes game 1 of a DH from AState 5-3 in a game in which our coaching staff is taking a ton of heat for poor decision making. Mavericks will go for the sweep in 30 minutes

It rained 3-4 inches Saturday, and anyone who knows us can attest, our field doesn't have proper drainage. Thus, we are playing in a virtual swamp. Coaches refused requests to play 2 games Friday before the Weather got here, and as a result everyone got to watch a bunch of outfielders struggling to get to easy fly balls.

Here's the graph at the halfway point. The Sun Belt East Division is a mess. And these cancelled games are gonna create some interesting half-game advantages/disadvantages.

Apparently it didn't bother UTA too much. They sweep the series. and we look like the team we all know and love. It was fun while it lasted.

The league is so balanced this year and most teams are unpredictable and inconsistent. My team is all over the place— 1 game we look like averygood team and the next we look terrible

So, after the stAte sweep, UTA leads the Western half of the 'belt, for now. Since Coach Thomas is in the final year of his current contract, I'm sure he is plenty motivated. Lots of innings left to play.

the mavs are streaky but on the rise lately. I still think a change is in order. not consistently good. we'll see how it goes tomorrow. TCU baseball comes in and UT-Austin softball comes in. the ballparks should be packed.
