Does Bennett get fired?

Talk about a major change of fate.

They lose in the Final 4 to New Mexico State, setting up an all-Border Conference national championship game.

I don't know if Bennett gets fired but it wouldn't surprise me. That would be the 2 most embarrassing losses in NCAA tournament history happening to the same program in back-to-back seasons.

To play out the tournament: Oklahoma beats Gardner-Webb, Oregon beats Oklahoma, Purdue beats Oregon, Purdue beats Auburn, and we have a Purdue - Texas Tech championship. Two 3-seeds and a new champion.

There is no way Tony Bennett is getting fired for losing to Gardner-Webb any more than Terry Holland was getting fired for losing to Chaminade. Yeah, it'd be super embarrassing to lose to a 16 two years in a row, but Virginia has been one of the consistently strongest programs in America, and if you want to let him go and hope like hell you don't hire another Dave Leitao or Pete Gillen in his place, then be my guest.

No. I picked Virginia, won money, and was in the 96.5th percentile on ESPN.
