Why is anyone still taking this guy seriously? He was recently arrested for trying to extort money from Nike'. This after his money bag client fired him and after he was evicted from his law offices due to not paying rent.

I guess you have to look into any of these type claims basically because we know this kind of stuff does go on. But if this was going on in a court of law with his background I seriously doubt any judge would sign a warrant on his word alone.

I also wonder if the SEC is not looking at this guy for saying he was going to knock a billion off of Nike's Market Cap if they did not pay up.

The SEC doesn’t care about that because there’s no way he could do it and with it never happening there’s no crime to prove.

That said, the extortion is hilarious! They pulled a Jordan Belfort on him with a “say that again...exactly how you said it the last time” so they could record it....and the dummy said it!

Their market cap dropped over $2 billion since last Friday. So it is very possible for it to happen.

The burden of proof though. It would be incredibly hard to prove that the sole reason for a drop in value is due to that dudes tweets. That's what I'm getting at.

Nike will go back up again.

Pretty quickly, too, if the big guns aren't selling.

Nike probably decided it was less damaging to let the creep tweet away--just like Bezos did about Pecker's peeps.

Explain what law Nike is breaking paying Zion's mom to be a consultant. They're not defrauding anybody, especially if she actually provided said consultative services. They could say give us your opinion of how Nike is seen among moms of elite prospects, we'll pay you 200k for that. They sign a contract, she fulfills contract, they pay. What law is broken?

Not exactly a law.

Not exactly a law.

It is in NC and in every state you are required to have a business license to do any business. Professional consultant requires a state license.

James Wiseman didn't sign with Memphis for free. The one-and-done model is run as a business, as it should be. That's exactly what it is.

Who knows after the FBI steps out of the picture. Duke is just trying to replicate the same business model John Calipari perfected.

I don't need to be a Brain Surgeon to realize Zion Williamson was not accepted into Duke for his prestigious Academics.

I know this is an unpopular stance with a lot of posters here, but I agree.

We are no different than any other top 25 team in America.

Just win baby!

RE: Duke looking into allegations concerning Duke's Zion Williamson's mother
Nah. We are different . First of all we haven’t won—meaning we are more vulnerable to ncaa pounding. They don’t flex their self serving muscles on the top Dogs.

Second of all, we are initiating a new paradigm in college recruiting. Without going into tedious specifics, one detail comes to mind. The FBI has a new fun gig —nosing around into college sports. More parents will think before they leap at dangled incentives.

If there is a program ( Memphis comes to mind) that can move the kids forward without the worries of this new snooping government entity, parents and kids are going to give us some good hard looks.

We are in the beginning stages. It’s up to Penny, Miller etc to build that cred—get the kids to the next level with effortless precision.

You might have also noticed that our recruits have taken a very active interest in building a strong team. I ain’t never seen that happen anywhere before.
