Who was on the first Oline?

Who played at LBs and DEnd? Was T Johnston really on the gold team?

From this thread, sounds like we have some depth at QB and WR and that Wooden is going to be a very nice addition at RB.

RE: Spring Game
This year's game seemed a bit 'looser' than last year. Ran a ton of pass plays.

Watkins looked great, and I loved the TE pass play for the touchdown. We had two plays where we threw it in the end zone and depended on a physical play to make the score...fighting for the ball and winning.

The best RB on the field was Wooden. Great size and some good runs.

The defense was laying in the licks. Three or four huge hits and one body slam.

Backup QB play looked solid too.

RE: Spring Game
I think that if our o-line can be effective that we are going to be extremely dangerous on offense.
I think if our d-line can just be a top-5 in CUSA unit we will have a very good defense.
I think we wont know what we have on the offensive and defensive lines until we see how they do this fall.

RE: Spring Game
From what I saw - Hopkins was better than Lucero & would give Johnson some push as his passes were much better so barring bad fall camp or injury is probably our #2. The rb rotation as I see it - Brown w/ Lucious & Wooden splitting the other carries or passing downs. #23 & Marshall are going to get some passes tossed their way on a regular basis. A lot of Soph/Fr will see pt on D so expect some Jekyll/Hyde behavior. Like Attalla said a good chances of a repeat bowl appearance maybe a conference champ if wins are down across the league but 6-9 wins barring injuries as we were spared that for the most part last year.

Who appeared to be the A guards with the first line?

I would agree with this. But, we need to have a speed / change of pace option out of the backfield(Haden?). And I would like to see more passes to the TEs this year. If the WRs have the season hoped, that should become a reality as they should be open a lot more...

I will say this. Based on what I saw unless everyone on our schedule is drastically improved there’s not a game we can’t win. Like everyone else we need to stay healthy but we’ve got the making of a really special season

Well, we lost four on the Oline to graduation. The next best four are on the Green team. Gold Oline is what's left after that.

Yeah, even harder when you consider that at least two players that would have been on the gold line won’t be here until fall, three if Penn ends up at guard.

Even then, at least from the replays shown in the stadium a lot of the problems they were having seemed to be of the need more reps to get the scheme down variety rather than just being physically overmatched

Right now, Adrienne Talan, Jaylen Rayam and Nikia Eason. Once fall camp is about midway over, though, I'd bet they're all behind Jordan Smith.

That's two different spots right?

Nope, they're all playing the Jack as of now.

They were all playing middle and outside linebacker during the spring game and id expect most of them to stay there. Rayam was impressive at OLB. Very fast to the ball. Mofor will be our leader on D this year. All the linebackers and lineman will be rotating so much to keep fresh bodies anyone could be playing here or there. It was hard to keep up with while they were doing it on the field Saturday. Then they swapped some gold defense members with some green and it was all chaos if you were trying to keep up haha
