Ok, now that basketball season is over, there aren’t any other sports happening and it’s time to fill up the kiddie pool. I’m tired of being fondled in the current setup and the broomstick always pokes me in the butt. WSU has just enough post season revenue this year to buy some components to make a hot tub but not enough to buy a whole one. I need some opinions.

Design 1
The Texas Special. You put a fire in an oil drum in a stock tank to heat the water. They are really popular in Dallas and Houston.

Design 2
Primarily found in Oklahoma, this is the cheapest. Like the Texas Special, it has a drum with a fire in it, but unlike the TS, you just set the drum in the nearest pond. They have been adapted to be used in flood control ponds, making them also really popular in New Orleans.

Design 3
The Cup of Coffee Model has a trash can or dumpster with a Penny Smoke Blower repurposed to create the bubbly. This model is attractive because Memphis tends to find its players in these receptacles already and they tell me all the time how good they are.

Design 4
There’s not really anything here, but folks in Orlando keep telling me that it exists.

Design 5
An old and tired one I threw away a while back but the more I go through others, the more I think I need to try it again.
