Crowds really were great for this tournament. The numbers were below average for the season, but the tickets sold actually attended. These games weren't included in season tickets so fans that bought tickets were actually there and sitting close to the court. 5700 for the championship game last night is impressive considering only having two days to sell tickets.

Most say there were many more in attendance than the announced. We guessed close to 7K.

Which bodes well for us if we go this route again. The CIT, CBI are going to give home games first options to those squads that are highest attended and willing to pay the fee, and any school that gets attended well will definitely pay that fee because they can make profit. These attendance numbers and atmosphere will be remember by those that run the optional tournaments.

In my short time watching Marshall basketball, this may have been the second coolest atmosphere. It did not feel like only 5,700 people, it felt much, much fuller.

The only game that I can think of that had as much of an electric atmosphere was the UCF Donnie Jones return.

That UCF revenge game was the single greatest Marshall basketball game I've ever attended.

Nicely done. This is the third year in a row a CUSA school has won a third tier tournament.

Congratulations to Marshall for winning the whole damn thing. Might not have been the postseason you dreamed about, but you did something special with what you had.

Congrats. Turned a two-point halftime deficit into a twenty-point win. Great second half.

Agreed, crowd looked bigger even if it wasn't. The GB coach comments gave a hat's off to the atmosphere. That was the good thing about the 2.0 era, we had near, or full sell outs for memphis and same thing against UCF under TH. Numbers are Numbers, but it looked like more than reported. I attended the Hofstra game this year, it was well over 7k and looked to be about the same crowd for GB.
