Big Conservative win in Wisconsin
As usual the sore loser leftist isn't conceding.

https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/04/b...ourt-race/

Quote:As of this morning, Judge Brian Hagedorn is clinging to a 5,800-vote lead in the race to replace the iconic liberal Wisconsin Supreme Court justice Shirley Abrahamson. A recount is expected to follow, but it appears conservatives have won a stunning upset in this marquee judicial contest.

The race between Hagedorn and his liberal opponent, Lisa Neubauer, took numerous ugly turns, with Neubauer and her media allies settling on a disturbing message: Individuals who actually live out their faith are simply ineligible to serve in higher office. But such bare-knuckle tactics appear to have backfired, and it’s worth considering the reasons why.

First, the grassroots still matter in Wisconsin. While there are certainly varying degrees of conservatism within the state GOP, come election time the Wisconsin party apparatus, talk radio, outside conservative-advocacy groups, and every-day citizens unify behind their candidates. As the results from last night prove, there is never any margin for error, so a complete team effort is always required.

Quote:Finally, the results last night further establish that faith-based attacks remain a risky campaign strategy. Refusing to articulate any coherent judicial philosophy, Neubauer settled on the disturbing message that people of faith are ineligible to serve. During law school, Hagedorn commented in a blog on hot-button social and legal issues from a conservative Christian’s perspective. Such commentary is certainly fair game in any contest. But Neubauer and her media allies went further. They attacked Hagedorn and his wife for starting a private grade school that demanded students and teachers adhere to traditional Christian notions of sexual morality, in an effort to spin a great success story as something sinister. And they painted him as a bigot for being involved with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a religious-liberty-advocacy organization that has been absurdly labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Christian voters noticed, and may have played a critical role in propelling Hagedorn to victory.

Assuming Hagedorn’s lead holds, it will go down as one of the most stunning, and rewarding, wins for Wisconsin conservatives in the last decade. Instead of being disheartened following Governor Walker’s loss this fall, the Wisconsin grassroots dusted themselves off and got back into the arena to prevent a leftward lurch on the court that would have presumably threatened many of Walker’s reforms. Instead of cowering in the face of vicious attacks, Hagedorn calmly articulated a message based on first principles — and looks to have won. That’s worth celebrating.

RE: Big Conservative win in Wisconsin
Another thing that seems to have come from this is that the leftist scum here in Wisconsin never seem to learn.

They constantly overplay their hand and it comes back to bite them.

They tried it with Scott Walker during the recall and it failed big time. They tried it again here and once again... FAIL.

The left can't comprehend that people living outside their echo chamber in Dane County (Madison) don't care for assaults on people's faith. They don't care for unjust attacks. They don't care for dirty pool politics. They can't comprehend that the rest of the state will respond to things like this by voting AGAINST them, whether they support a candidate or not. They can't comprehend WHY their nastiness and venom results in their losing.

In the end, the GOOD people of Wisconsin saw an unjustice, and voted accordingly. Looks like Voter ID, ACT 10, Conceal/Carry are safe for some time to come.

Sure wish there were a lot of other states that would apply common sense like the good people of Wisconsin!

I tried telling my siblings (who were excited about the Lightfoot mayoral win in Chicago) that the Wisconsin loss that same night was more significant and troubling.

Tell me again, why did the DNC pick Milwaukee over Houston again for the 2020 convention?

A lot of the usual pro-GOP types sat this election out, and Hagedorn’s campaign was abandoned and given up for dead by many people. The Chamber of Commerce not only didn’t contribute, it quietly encouraged others to stay away, too. The Realtors group actually demanded their donation back.

And the honest truth of it is, the defunding strategy probably would’ve worked if Neubauer and her proxies has just left it alone and focused on turning out their own people. But they couldn’t do that. They simply had to attack Hagedorn for his religion. These attacks (inadvertently) sounded the alarm on the Right, with the results we all see now.

Waiting for two cars to pull up with "unreported" ballots in boxes that were not "counted" on election night and all of a sudden *Cough* the D's have enough votes to win. Seems legit. Ask Senator Franken.

I remember several years back that happened in Virginia and Cuccinnelli came a hair on my arse from knocking off Terry McAuliffe. Still ticked off about that... probably caused the VA Senate to go blue and cost Trump Virginia.

That's what many of us are afraid of. After the vote is canvased, there will "suddenly" be bags full of "uncounted" ballots that mysteriously appear out of nowhere. And if by some miracle, there will be just enough of that voted "D" to put them over the top.

It's a slimy, disgusting, dirty, cheap move, which is EXACTLY why the lefties would embrace it.

I think it has something to so with the left wanting to "turn" Wisconsin blue again. They figure that if the convention is there it will generate enough excitement among the d's to elect their candidate President.

That and the new Fiserv Forum is supposed to be amazing.

Because you have a 40% shot in Wisconsin and a 0% shot in Texas.

Hell, it happened in every contested election in 2018. Until the right gets hot and heavy over polling procedures, unbiased poll watchers, verified vote counts, and an insistence upon early counting of absentee ballots it's going to remain a go to strategy for those who abuse our electoral process, the dems.

Judge Neubauer has decided not to pursue a recount, and she has called Judge Hagedorn to concede the race. A surprising and important result.
