The things they think they know pale in comparison to what they actually know. If they're aware enough that will change as they age. They'll come to understand that they knew jack shite and look back on their youthful selves and shake their heads, we hope. Those that don't will go into politics.

Because they're selfish thieves who think the power of government gives them moral ground to steal from others.


Modern western society's effort to strip morality from Judeo-Christian norms essentially names government as the moral arbitrator.

When religion is no longer the moral authority, people tend to view laws as the moral code. And they tend to look to government for guidance.

That is a baaaaaaad practice.
